Cleansing, Consecrating, Charging

MAKING HOLY WATER

There are three basic reasons for this process:

1.It removes any negative residue that has attached itself to the item or place.

2.It melds your positive energy with that of the Universe to bring divinity.

3.It instills this energy into the object or place for positive purposes.

The ritual act also assists in strengthening and calming your mental attitude toward yourself and your work.

There are four elements of Mother Earth that are used in majick.

1.Air: East. Represents intellect, communication, knowledge, concentration; the ability to “Know” and to understand; to unlock secrets of the dead; to contact the angels, telepathy, memory and wisdom, the hawk, the raven and the eagle: prophecy, movement, Karma and speed.

2.Fire: South.Stands for energy, purification, courage, the will to dare, creativity; higher self, success and refinement, the arts and transformations, the lion, the phoenix and the dragon, loyalty and force.

3.Water: West.Associated with intuition, emotions, the innerself, flowing movement, the power to dare and cleanse all things; sympathy and love; reflection; currents and tides of life; the dolphin, the swan and the crab; dreams and dreamtime.

4.Earth: North.Mystery and growth, fertility, material abundance, the combined forces of nature and its bounty; birth and healing; business, industry and possessions; the bear, the stag and the wolf; conservation and nature

You should use all four elements when cleansing and consecrating your tools. For example, for Earth you could use sea salt, dirt, rice, corn meal, etc. For Air, a broom, hand fan, feather, incense or your own breath. For Water you should use holy water, water from a nearby stream or snow.

For Fire you could use a candle flame, oil lamp, or a backyard torch.

Holy water can be used for a variety of majickal workings, from cleansing to healing. You should store holy water in glass vials or a small glass container. To make holy water you will need:

1 tsp of rose water; optional

3tbsp sea salt or kosher salt

1 small bowl of spring water

1 clean glass container

1 new compact mirror

1 glass storage bottle

Cleanse and sterilize the bowl and glass container with boiling water. Make sure that you have total privacy. The time should be at midnight during a Full Moon phase. Go outside under the moon or near a window that will reflect the light of the moon. Set out your work cloth and all ingredients upon it. Take five or six deep breaths to relieve the stress of the day. Cast your majick circle. Hold your arms outstretched in the Goddess position.

Say:

In the cloak of the midnight hour

I call upon the Ancient power

I seek the presence of the Lady and Lord

To bless this water that I will pour

In my hands I hold the essence of the Gods. I hereby cleanse and consecrate this water to Divinity that it may be used for positive acts only and may aid me in my majickal work

Set down the water and pick up the salt.

In my hands I hold the essence of Earth Mother, She whose bounty sustains all living creatures. I hereby consecrate this salt to Divinity that it may be used for positive acts only and may aid me in my majickal work.

Set the salt down and pour a little into the bowl of water, stir clockwise three times. Repeat this process twice more.

With the bowl in your left hand and the mirror in your right, reflect the light of the moon off the mirror and into the bowl. Wait a moment;

This liquid is now pure and dedicated to the Lord and Lady. It is free from all negativity in any time and any space.

Set the bowl and mirror down and hold both of your hands, palms down, over but not touching the bowl, about one inch above the water. Let the vibrations of your body come alive. Open your third eye and imagine a glowing purple light emanating from it. Form an open triangle with your hands over the water and project the light into it. In your mind see the water change color and grow. Feel the power and energy flow from your head down your arms and up from your feet and out your arms simultaneously. When you feel the energy dissipate, slowly lower your hands and say:

As I will

So mote it be

With the free will of all

And harm to none

This formula is done.

You can place your hands physically on the ground and feel the energy drain into Earth Mother to ground yourself or imagine your energy as a force field around you and quietly step back out of the skeleton of energy and watch it collapse upon itself and melt into the ground.
